Hello there, my name is Adriana Antonia Artmeier (Yes, Artmeier is my real name) and I am originally from Germany and decided to move to Melbourne, Australia in 2016, because what could be more intriguing than poisonous little creatures everywhere?

I started drawing early on with my Grandmother, who was an artist as well.
After she passed away in the early 2000s, I took a break from art for a while. As I got older I started getting interested in art again and started drawing different portraits with graphite pencils of my favorite Idols at the time. A couple of years after experimenting with graphite I started using charcoal and also coloured pencils. In 2017 thanks to a close friend of mine I started finding my love for painting.
I started painting portraits of pets, people, etc until I finally got to the level where I confidently could try something new. I always wanted to go into a surrealistic, kind of darker area with my art but I thought I never had the skill for it and I should continue practicing fine art portraits and landscapes.
At one point though I decided to go for it and actually bring my own ideas to life, yay! In my Gallery, etc. you will be able to see both.

Currently, most of my artwork is very focused on the topics of ocean conservation, mental health, and how we treat our planet and the beautiful creatures on it. A lot of my work features creatures like sharks which have been the main focus in my most recent works.
